‘Tis the season!
No, not that season. ‘Tis the season when the rolling hills of central Italy transform themselves into the most iconic and postcard–or, to be more contemporary, Instagram—perfect of images: bright sunflower fields.
Sunflowers generally reach their peak by early July, though this year’s chilly spring has nudged the season a bit and you can still find fields of flowers with their bright faces turned toward the sky stretching to the horizon.
So have your camera at the ready and follow those backroads marked on your map to take some memorable shots of happiness in flower form.
